Candles were a necessity of daily life in the Victorian Era, as there was no electricity. Scented candles were often used in funeral ceremonies along with flowers, as they masked any unpleasant odours that may have lingered during a 'wake.' Thankfully, today, we do have electricity and use candles to create ambiance to our spaces. We have chosen to work with a local company that creates soy based candles for your enjoyment. These candles are derived from natural ingredients, burn clean (no toxins, carcinogens or pollutants), and made with cotton wicks. We carry a year round 'Signature Series' & 'Seasonal Scents.' Did we mention that our 8oz. candles burn for 50-60 hours?!

On April 22, 2023 we will be hosting our very first Howard Workshop. Bring your own small piece of furniture and we provide the products and skill to teach you how to restore and care for your wood furniture! Tamirah, from Howard Products will join us in this hand-on workshop. Fee is $25/person + tax

We are pleased to carry a quality line of cast iron products for your home decor! 'The Spearhead Collection' is a family owned and operated company, founded in 2006, in Alberta, Canada. They carry a unique range of products that are new, mostly copies of originals, full of old character, different to modern day trends, usable and cost effective. All of their products are handmade &/or hand finished, 80% of which is cast iron/steel, along with some brass, wood, tin and leather. You can expect that slight imperfections and little quirks appear her and there which is somewhat by design, in fact, to retain "the old style, vintage look," exactly as intended.

These delicious sugar cookies are made by 'The Cookie Duchess,' in the shape of our store, or a seasonal delight. The detail is amazing, right down to the siding lines in glistening sugar! When you purchase one of these cookies, you will not only enjoy a delicious treat, you will be supporting the following great organizations: Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Sick Kids Hospital and Holland Bloorview Rehabilitation Hospital.
These amazing places save & rehabilitate lives. They are available for just $6.50 each and 100% of the profits are donated. Since we purchased Cookstown Antique Market on June 1, 2017, we have donated a total of $49,475.47! Thank-you to everyone that purchased! (updated Nov. 30/23)
